Director of Admissions
Matthew has brought to MSU Dubai a deep and broad experience in university higher education enrollment management, admissions, marketing, sales, student recruitment, international credential evaluation and advising. Having lived in Dubai for nearly three years and extensively travelled to over 40 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, Matthew has gained an understanding of educational systems both in the region and around the world. American-born, Matthew joined MSU – Dubai from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise Flight Academy, where he was Head of Marketing and Admissions, responsible for managing all phases of the marketing, student recruitment and enrolment functions, as well as leading outreach programs in the GCC and Middle East. Prior to this, he was the Director of International Recruitment at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the United States where he managed a comprehensive international student focused recruitment initiative for over 40 unique undergraduate and graduate aviation oriented programs. Matthew holds an MBA in Aviation and BS in Aerospace Studies from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in addition to a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor License.

Head Librarian
After earning her BA in Psychology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, she earned both an MSc in Library and Information Science and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Digital Libraries from Syracuse University in New York. She has worked in libraries all over the world including Arkansas, USA; Monteverde, Costa Rica; and London, England. Her professional interests include digital libraries; international librarianship; and cross cultural information literacy instruction.

Manager, Instructional Technology Certificate & ICDL program
Myra began her career in 1993 as a Physics and Chemistry teacher. As a Tech-Integration Specialist at Cairo American College, she coached high school faculty and staff in infusing technology into their curriculum. She also worked as an IT instructor teaching Filming, Web Design, XHTML, Digital Photography and Flash Animation. An MSU alumni, Myra has joined the university in Dubai to coordinate the graduate Educational Technology Program. She worked closely with local authorities and principals providing support and vision to schools on transforming the educational process through the effective use of cutting edge technologies and professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators.

Admissions and Recruitment
Nicole Wabaunsee was the first employee of Michigan State University Dubai and as such has had the opportunity to coordinate projects and activities relating to the growth of MSU Dubai focusing on recruitment and admissions. MSU Dubai is the second institution that she has served for in this capacity, having acted as the Program Development Coordinator for EHSAL European University College Brussels - Dubai. At EHSAL, she was tasked with responsibilities in student recruitment, public relations and marketing, student advising, and admissions and general administration. Prior to joining MSU Dubai, she had also applied the expertise acquired through a M.Sc. in Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology while serving as a Mental Health Therapist with the Washington State Benton Franklin Juvenile Justice Center in Kennewick, Washington. Ms. Wabaunsee brings to MSU Dubai more than five years of experience in counseling and student services. She is also a M.A. Candidate in International Development with a focus on Human Resources Management.
Director of Enrollment and Academic Services
Abida Saleh joined MSU Dubai in April 2008, bringing with her considerable educational and administrative experience. A US citizen and a native of Syria, Abida has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Prior to joining MSU Dubai, Abida held various administrative positions in K-12 schools in the US for over 12 years. Most recently before moving with her family to the UAE, she served as the vice principal of Islamic Foundation School in Illinois for 7 years. In her administrative tenure, she had a wide range of responsibilities in all aspects of school administration, including curriculum development, accreditation, admission and registration, hiring, and guidance advising,
In her role as the Director of Enrollment Services at MSU Dubai, Abida is responsible for students’ enrollment. Her position encompasses myriad aspects of admission and advising, as well as scholarships and undergraduate research coordination, and services for students with special needs.
